{"id":3149,"date":"2011-06-18T00:08:32","date_gmt":"2011-06-18T00:08:32","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.thesocialcmo.com\/blog\/?p=3149"},"modified":"2011-06-18T00:08:32","modified_gmt":"2011-06-18T00:08:32","slug":"it%e2%80%99s-time-to-give-your-brand-advocates-a-promotion","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.thesocialcmo.com\/blog\/2011\/06\/it%e2%80%99s-time-to-give-your-brand-advocates-a-promotion\/","title":{"rendered":"It\u2019s Time to Give Your Brand Advocates a Promotion"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright\" title=\"ladder\" src=\"http:\/\/blog.zuberance.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/06\/Screen-shot-2011-06-16-at-11.29.57-AM.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"237\" height=\"163\" \/>Marketers are starting to realize that\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/blog.zuberance.com\/blog\/10-definitions-of-a-brand-advocate\/\">Brand Advocates<\/a> are important enough to be part of our marketing strategies\u2026\u00a0but in my view, we need to take this beyond our Advocates just being \u201ca part\u201d of what we do.\u00a0 We need to value our Advocates enough to\u00a0<em><strong>promote<\/strong><\/em> them \u2013 in both meanings of the word: to bring visibility to, and to raise up.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong>1.<\/strong><strong> <\/strong><strong>We need to help our Advocates be heard.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We need to get the word out about the value our Advocates add to our brand\/ product\/ service.\u00a0 Advocates want \u2013 and deserve \u2014 to be recognized, so you should be their microphone:\u00a0 re-tweet their comments,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/blog.zuberance.com\/events\/use-your-advocates%E2%80%99-reviews-for-marketing-copy\/\">post their insights on your websites<\/a>, share their brightest ideas throughout your social networks and make sure to give them credit for all of their work.<\/p>\n<p>As diligent as you are at making sure your Advocates\u00a0<strong>hear<\/strong> you \u2026 that is how diligent you need to be about making sure your Advocates are\u00a0<strong>heard<\/strong><strong> <\/strong>by others.<\/p>\n<p><strong>2.<\/strong><strong> <\/strong><strong>We need to place our Brand Advocates in a position higher than the one they currently hold in our companies.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Are you\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/blog.zuberance.com\/blog\/make-your-customers-feel-at-home\/\">treating your Advocates like prized members of your team<\/a>?
