The need, as I surmised it, was based on a finding from a study conducted by\u00a0Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) Council and Lithium, a social media tech firm.<br \/>\nThere was one study finding in particular I based my belief on.<\/p>\n<p>This one\u2026<br \/>\n<!--more--><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/cdn.business2community.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/screen_shot_2011-12-16_at_10.57.54_am4.png\" alt=\"chart\" width=\"441\" height=\"180\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I wrote in my aforementioned story\u2026<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis particular finding speaks directly to the power of suggestion and the power of peer pressure in many ways for it shows just how truly powerful a brand\u00a0ambassador can be and how much influence these folks can carry with their friends.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Well today I want to take this a step further\u2026 a GIANT step.<\/p>\n<p>In discussing the findings of a study conducted by her own company,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.blogher.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">BlogHer<\/a>\u00a0&#8211;\u00a0the leading participatory news, entertainment and information network for women online \u2013 CEO and co-founder\u00a0Lisa Stone said the following\u2026<\/p>\n<p>\u201c\u2026there\u2019s no one a woman trusts more for advice, recommendations and guidance than another woman in her circle.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>And when you factor in that women account for 85% of all consumer purchases including everything from autos to health care, it only stands to reason that the most powerful ambassador a brand can have\u2026 is a woman.<\/p>\n<p>So\u2026 to all brand managers and brand marketers out there it\u2019s really quiet simple.<\/p>\n<p>Engage with and empower more brand ambassadors who are women.<\/p>\n<p>Ok, that\u2019s an incredibly simplisitc direction but you get the idea.<\/p>\n<p>Create and foster relationships with those making the bulk of the purchasing decisions.<\/p>\n<p>Stay actively engaged with them\u2026 key word being \u201cactively.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Empower them by offering them exclusive offers and \u201cinsider\u201d type of info about contests and promotions, etc.<\/p>\n<p>Then when one woman in their \u201ccircle\u201d \u2013 be it online or off, asks another for advice or suggestions or recommendations, they will tell them all about your wonderful brand\u2026 and there will be joy in the land.<\/p>\n<p>Or something like that\u2026<\/p>\n<p>Your thoughts please.<\/p>\n<p>Do you know who you specific brand ambassadors are?<\/p>\n<p>How do you empower and reward them?<\/p>\n<p>Steve Olenski<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Source:\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.adweek.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">AdWeek<\/a><\/p>\n<p><em>Named one of the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.socialtechnologyreview.com\/articles\/top-100-influencers-social-media\" target=\"_blank\">Top 100 Influencers In Social Media<\/a>\u00a0(#41) by Social Technology Review,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/thesteveozone.blogspot.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Steve Olenski<\/a>\u00a0is a freelance writer\/blogger currently looking for full-time work.
